Anchor Testing

We place a great deal of trust in fixings, but without adequate testing is it just blind trust. Whether the client required suitability testing where the base material is unproven or to ensure correct installation practices are followed, we can provide this service to the Construction Fixing Association’s standards.

A typical installation should include the blowing and brushing of the hole a number of times, which if not carried out, has been seen to reduce the capacity of the anchor by up to half. As in all things, the manufacturers guidelines should be followed which are usually specified on the container of the fixings/resin.

Our CFA approved testers can assist you with the design of your testing regime and if necessary we can carry out preliminary testing to identify the Allowable Load for your specific installation.
